Nothing's branch, CMF, has just announced a low-cost smartphone for less than €200. Nothing is a recent phone brand, founded by Carl Pei, a former executive at OnePlus. When the OnePlus brand was in fashion, especially at the time of the OnePlus 7 Pro, it was mainly thanks to it, as well as its philosophy, which is close to that of Apple.
Carl Pei launched hisfirst smartphone in 2022. With the Nothing phone, the company's ambition is to offer the “Android iPhone” for only 469 euros. It features NothingOS, a completely redesigned Android overlay, which offers a unique interface, unlike any other. The device also features a transparent design, as well as customizable LED lights on the back of the phone.
Then, the brand released the Nothing Phone 2 in 2023, which is a much more advanced version of the first model, at a more substantial price of 700 euros. This year, in March 2024, Nothing released the Nothing Phone 2(a) at 349 euros, which isa more affordable version of the phone, like the iPhone SE.
In addition to smartphones, Nothing specializes in wireless headphones, and can boast of having created many people's favorite headphones. Some Reddit users say they prefer them to the AirPods Pro 2, except on one point. In terms of noise reduction, it seems that Apple's wireless headphones are far ahead, but the Nothing are cheaper, around 150 euros for the most advanced model, and 100 euros for a slightly less efficient model.
The company also offers low-cost devices through its CMF branch. The sub-brand, for example, offers the CMF Nothing Watch Pro connected watch for 69 euros, including wireless headphones for connected watches for 60 euros, as well as the CMF Buds Pro 2 headphones for 59 euros.
Nothing announces a smartphone for less than 200 euros
Carl Pei's sub-brand has just announced a new low-cost smartphonefor less than 200 euros, through its CMF branch.The CMF Phone 1 will be sold for 199 eurosto be more precise. It has an original modular design, but does not offer a transparent design, like other low-cost CMF by Nothing products.
In terms of technical specifications, the CMF Phone 1 benefits from:

However, the phone does not shipno NFC or wireless charging, but at this price, you can't have everything. It will be sold inseveral colors, including orange, black, blue and green, starting this week in Europe.
