iPhone XS: a good device, still today?
With only four gigabytes of RAM, the performance offered by the iPhone XS may seem outdated these days. As a bonus, this model is equipped with the TrueDepth sensor and therefore offers biometric unlocking via Face ID, like the high-end mobiles unveiled by Apple last September.
However, even with iOS 18,the iPhone XSfor example, cannot benefit from sending messages via the satellite network. In fact, only iPhone 14 and newer models are entitled to it. We can also cite the case of eye tracking, for accessibility. This iOS 18 feature is only offered on iPhone 12 and newer models, as well as on the third generation iPhone SE.
Under Android, alternatives with good quality/price ratio
Facing the iPhone XS today stand several other more powerful, cheaper and more recent Android smartphones. At the house ofXiaomi,SamsungorOppo, in particular, products of this type number in the dozens. Be careful, however, because support for updates for five to seven years is not always guaranteed here.
