When the iPhone
disassembly specialists at iFixit, it was discovered that the
battery of this model consists oftwo parts arranged in
L, the whole displaying a capacity of 2,716 mAh.
And according to a new report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the next
iPhone X in 5.8 inch and 6.5 inch format could have a
better capacitythanks to a new design witha
one-piece battery, also L-shaped, instead of two
distinct elements.
This could allow the successor to the current iPhone
better autonomy with a boost of around 10% from 2,716 mAh to
approximately2900-3000 mAh.
In the 6.5 inch model, as the space inside would be larger,
the battery would benefit from more space. It is estimated that it could integrate
a battery with a capacity of approximately3300-3400 mAh.
Originally, Apple already wanted to offer a single L-shaped battery
for the iPhone
Cupertino would not have managed to overcome it in time for this year.
This new rumor combined with thenew chip
battery managementmade in Apple could allow successors to
the iPhone X next year to offer a significant gain in autonomy.
