Free roaming in 2017 within Europe: it goes away and it comes back

Inoctober
last
, the European Parliament voted afee withdrawal plan
roaming
throughout the European Union with the aim of
the date of June 15, 2017for an effective implementation of
this absence of additional cost. But on September 5, a new text had
been adopted with some limitations added to free roaming (time
limited in particular). But a new twist in the affair, this text comes
to beremovedvery recently:

The revision voted in September by the European Commission aimed to reduce
free roaming time everywhere in the member countries of the Union
European90 days per year, while the initial text voted
in October 2015 did not contain any limitation of this type.

Beyond these 90 free days, the user would have had to pay
4 cents per minuteon foreign network in the EU. These
clarifications considered as a step backwards have given rise to numerous
reactions. This would have pushed parliamentarians to review their copy and
work on a new version of the text withreturn to the objective
initial
: the real end of itinerary fees for June 2017,
according to Alexander Winterstein, spokesperson for the European Commission.

If everything goes as planned, and as Mr. Winterstein indicates, we
could therefore, by next summer, telephone from and to all of Europe (countries
of the EU) without additional costs incurred by the use of a foreign network.

For the sake ofmobility, so this should make life
many Europeansmuch more practical and
economic
