Historical

Shazam originally worked like thesepremium rate numberswho advertised on the radio. Did you hear a melody on this or that station and wanted to know its name to find it later? All you had to do was call 2580 and bring your mobile's microphone closer to its speakers to try to get a quick response. The success was immediate, to the point that the service has since exceeded seventy billion requests in two decades.

On December 11, 2017, Apple bought the company for a total amount estimated atfour hundred million dollarsapproximately. Since then, Shazam has been integrated into iOS, including a shortcut in the Control Center. You can also launch the tool from the menu bar on macOS, whose client has just been updated withsome changes to discover right here.
