The iPhone 7 Plus is being disassembled at iFixit: photos and details

iFixit, the professionals
of the disassembly received the iPhone 7 Plus, and as is the case every year with
the new model, they open the beast to inspect its innards and
notice what has changed at the component level.

The disassembly carried out by iFixit allows us to confirm several pieces of information
regarding thebattery capacity, and thequantity
RAM
or RAM of the iPhone 7 Plus, but also to discover
what the headphone jack was replaced with in the case.

iFixit confirms that the iPhone 7 Plus has a battery with
a capacity of 2900 mAh, which is 5% wider than the
2750 mAh battery of the iPhone 6s, and allows with different optimizations
(processor, etc.) to obtain 1 hour more autonomy than its
predecessor.

The disassembly also makes it possible to corroborate thebenchmark test resultsmade with Geekbench
regarding the amount of RAM of the iPhone 7 Plus, namely that it
integrated 3 GB of RAM, or 1 GB more than in the iPhone 6s
Plus.

To the question of what the headphone jack was replaced with
inside the iPhone 7 Plus case? The iFixit teardown allows
to observe that this location ispartly occupied by the engine
haptics of the new Home button
, but also by astamp in
rubber
in front of the speaker grille, surely there to
ensure water resistance of the iPhone.
