The “Flex Widget” application allows you to personalize (even more) your home screen

Since the release of iOS 14, Widgets have become an essential element on our iPhones. The screens of Apple phones are now infested with these banners and squares of applications, which contrast so much with the sober and uniform line of the iPhone home screens until then.

But Apple's change of line also made people happy. In order to bring this customization to its maximum, the Flex Widget application allows you to create your own Widgets, which was still impossible on other applications of this style, comme Widgetsmith.

The application is designed in a very simple way. It allows you to create Widgets in the three sizes offered by Apple, small, medium and large. For each of its sizes, the application offers different presentation models, a bit like a template that just needs to be personalized. The application thus offers pre-made compositions, or gives free rein to its user to let their creativity speak.

Flex Widget is available today on the App Store for €2.29. Although it is certainly paid, the application does not offer any advertising or in-app purchases. To make it work, you will obviously need to have an iPhone or iPad with iOS 14, the only one that offers Widgets on the home screen.

iOS 14, Apple's aesthetic revolution

With the arrival of iOS 14 a few weeks ago, the screens of our iPhones have changed considerably. The addition of Widgets has enabled personalization never before seen at Apple, and many users have, in the first days after the launch of the update, shared their “creation” on social networks, notably Twitter, with more or less success.

This push for personalization enabled by Apple has propelled certain applications to the top of the App Store, such as Widgetsmith, which is surely the most well-known application of this type today.
