The new king of iPad Air would arrive in March: your pre-orders

An iPad Air12.9 inchescould see the light of day inmars, according to new information from analyst Ross Young. This is indeed a niche where Apple has already given us an appointment in the past, for example when the firm launched the fifth generation of the device. However, this is only available with a diagonal of 10.9 inches for the moment. The arrival of a larger edition could bring its value proposition closer to that of the iPad Pro, also offered with a 12.9-inch panel for the largest (and most expensive) model.

We do not yet know the potential price of this future iPad Air XXL, but there is no doubt that the device will be much less affordable than its little brother. This could also be renewed at the same time. For comparison, we know that its predecessor, which is still available today in the Apple Store, is offered by the manufacturer at the price of789 euros. But this is only the amount required to afford the basic version, with only 64 GB of internal storage and no Wi-Fi connection. You must add 200 euros to take advantage of mobile data.

iPad Air 6: what technical sheet?

As for the technical sheet, you should know that the iPad Air 5 is powered by the M1 chip. Since then, the M2 has been released, but also the M3, even more recent and integrated notably under the hood ofMacBook Pro unveiled last October. It is therefore very likely that it is indeed this processor, entry-level for the Apple firm's computers, which equips the new iPad Air.

However, do not expect to see biometric unlocking ofFace IDon this model: for the moment, the technology is only reserved for the 11 and 12.9 inch iPad Pro. Instead, the sixth-generation iPad Air is expected to feature a fingerprint sensor installed under the power button. As for recharging, this is likely to be done thanks to a USB-C socket, already present on the previous model.

We can bet that the manufacturer will also be able to offer us a basic configuration with more than64 Go de mémoire, which would be the least you can do for a tablet of this size. Let us remember, however, that the iPad Airs are the most efficient at Apple, after the iPad Pros. Additionally, even the iPhone 15s today come with 128 GB of internal storage, at least. But Tim Cook's company is not the only one to limit itself to 64 GB for its large touch screens, since this is also the case for Samsung's Galaxy Tab A9.

He would already be on his way

For the most impatient, Ross Young also specifies that the sixth generation iPad Air would begin to be delivered by Apple subcontractors from December 2023. No more precise timetable for the moment, but this indeed seems confirm release date in March.

It is the Apple Stores and various resellers, online or with a storefront, who share the first packages. We will obviously keep you informed of the development of the file: a press release could be published by Cupertino in a few weeks, to find out more.
