Expected by many duringfrom Apple's WWDC earlier this month, the new MacBook Pros have still not appeared, while almost all of the Apple brand's analysts are already praising their merits.
Despite this collective failure in the game of predictions, some“insiders”as Mark Gurman persists and signs: new MacBooks will arrive on the market during this year 2021. In his latest newsletter, Gurman targets fall as the release date for these laptops, which should be equipped with a whole new M1 chip, surely named M1X. A release at the end of the year which would indeed be much more logical for Apple, which thus gives itself time to finishhis transition from Intel to Apple Silicon, before presenting products of“second generation”.
A return to basics for the MacBook Pro?
While the rumors about the release date of this new computer are a little lost between spring, summer or fall 2021, analysts are much more unanimousregarding new featureswhich should accompany this new MacBook Pro. At the head of the queue, the return of the HDMI port, an SD card reader, but also magnetic charging with MagSafe, a forgotten solution, which is enjoying a second hour of glory since the release of the iPhone 12.
This return to basics, although widely announced by analysts, should still be taken with a pinch of salt. It is indeed rare to see Apple retrace these steps, and if the design of the iPhone 12 was indeed a first turn in this direction, particularly with the return of flat edges, it remains complicated to draw conclusions for all of the apple brand products.
In the rest of his newsletter, Gurman explained that the next few weeks should be fairly quiet regarding Apple's announcements. While all eyes are on the new iPhone and the next Apple Watch, the Cupertino company should take advantage of the summer to work in the shadows and release a series of releases in the fall.
