iPhone 12 sales could be highest since… iPhone 6

Apple unveiled the new iPhone 12s less than a week ago during a keynote which is usually held in September. This was delayed until at least October due to the global pandemic which had the effect of delaying production of the apple brand. The latter unveiled four new models during its event.

On the one hand, the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro will be released on October 23,or by the end of the week, after pre-orders opened last Friday. You will have to wait a little longer for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max, because pre-orders will begin on November 6 for deliveries from November 13.

Soon a new sales record for Apple?

Although it is logically still difficult to estimate sales of this new range of smartphones, several companies already have predictions in mind. According to theEconomic Daily News, Apple suppliers Foxconn and Pegatron respectively are offering bonuses to their employees who work on assembly lines during this busy period. And for good reason,pre-orders for the iPhone 12 and 12 Prowould already be very significant for Apple.

It seems that sales of the iPhone 12 exceed those of the iPhone 6, the American manufacturer's latest record. Unveiled in 2014, the 6 and 6 Plus models have attracted a very large number of users thanks to their substantial screen size. The company reportedly exceeded 135.6 million sales in the two quarters following the launch of the two models.

According to a report fromDigiTimes, sales of iPhone 12 could reach 80 million units. And for good reason, some of the new models are intended to be more affordable for some new features – such as the arrival of OLED and 5G across the entire range, to name just these examples. All in addition to a new design reminiscent of that of the iPhone 4 presented ten years ago.
