The iPhone 13 Pro just broke a new record and you will surely agree

According to the ElectronicsHub site, the iPhone 13 Pro is the most popular smartphone for taking photos. But how did the site arrive at this conclusion? To do this, it was enough to analyze a panel of no less than a million photos shared on the social network Flickr. For those who have never heard of it, it is more or less the ancestor of Instagram. On the platform, like that of Meta, users can “like” publications. And it is by compiling and cross-referencing these assessments with the data allowing us to know which camera produced each image that our source of the day achieved its goals.

The good news for the Apple firm is that Apple ranks five other of its high-end mobiles in the top 10 most popular for taking photos. iPhone 12 mini is eighth, iPhone 12 is tenth, iPhone 12 Pro Max is fourth, iPhone 14 Pro is seventh andl’iPhone 14 Pro Maxis fifth. The latter is no longer available in stores since its successor took over. But the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max only hit the market last September. This probably explains why they are not found in the list: users have not yet had time to publish enough images with them.

What are the cameras of the new iPhone 15 Pro worth?

Today, the iPhone 15 Pro are clearly the best cameras that Apple offers, in France and elsewhere. There are three main photo modules on the back. On the one hand, a telephoto lens with a definition of twelve megapixels, very popular for taking images with magnification up to 5x for the iPhone 15 Pro Max or 3x for the iPhone 15 Pro. The aperture here reaching f/2.8, according to the official technical sheet. As a reminder, this data makes it possible to measure the quantity of light which will pass through the sensor in question.

On the other hand, the ultra wide-angle lens offers the same definition of twelve megapixels but with an f/2.2 aperture, on iPhone 15 Pro as on iPhone 15 Pro Max. As for the wide-angle, which is best provided with a displayed resolution of forty-eight megapixels, its aperture reaches f/1.78. Against f/1.6 on the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus, the same size as the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max but with a much more affordable price. In particular, count 969 euros for the basic iPhone 15 with 128 GB of internal storage, compared to 1,229 euros for the iPhone 15 Pro. Both offer a diagonal of 6.1 inches at the front, but with thinner borders between them and the chassis, for the more expensive model.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is not left out

Still according to ElectronicsHub, today it is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra which ranks second in the ranking of the most popular mobiles for photography. The Korean cell phone is one of the best-selling of its generation, alongside the iPhone 14 Pro. We recognize the presence of a twelve-megapixel wide-angle sensor on the front, with an f/2.2 aperture and the ability to shoot in 4K at up to sixty frames per second.

On the back, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra benefits from a monstrous two hundred megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.7), a so-called “periscope” sensor of ten megapixels, a telephoto lens of the same definition and a twelve megapixel ultra wide angle. Users can use this camera pad to shoot up to 8K at thirty frames per second, or up to 4K at sixty frames per second as well.

For comparison, Google's Pixel 8 Pro offers fifty megapixels for its wide-angle, or 48 megapixels for its ultra-wide-angle and for its telephoto lens. Mountain View phones are generally considered to be among the best cameras on the market by specialist comparisons, even if today it is still Huawei's Mate 60 Pro+ thatDxOMarkconsiders first of the game.L’iPhone 15 Pro Maxis third, for the French site.
