Last year, users reported that the battery percentage indicator on their Apple Watch Series 5 was showing incorrect numbers, causing particularly annoying impromptu shutdowns. It seems that the problem is not, however, exclusive to the watch: thus, other consumers this time buyers ofiPhone 11, 11 Pro et 11 Pro Maxwould suffer the same fate.
The good news is that Apple has found a solution. No simple patch or fix as is often the case, but rather an additional option in the appSettingsto be found inthe latest iOS update only available in public beta at the moment. This allows “recalibrer” the battery, according to the developer. We don't really know what process is behind this operation, but the principle is more or less similar to that of GPS in Maps, which has the same name.
How to recalibrate the battery of your iPhone 11, 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max?
Under iOS 14.5, this new setting is accessible to you by going to the sectionBatteryfrom the Settings app, then clicking on the menuBattery Status. The recalibration will then start automatically in the background, without intervention on your part. If, despite everything, this does not bear fruit, then it is advisable to go to the Apple Store.
On site, Cupertino then ensures that it canreplace the component (normally) free of charge. But be careful: opening hours are subject to change since the French authorities chose to impose restrictions following the health crisis. The wisest thing is to make an appointment, or even towear your best smile to avoid potentially ending up with a long bill…
