According to analyst Ross Young, often very well informed on this subject,MacBook Pros with M4 chip are planned for the fourth quarter of 2024. Subcontractors have already started to deliver the screens of these devices to assemblers, which is consistent with compliance with the relevant schedule, again according to the researcher. The latter has regularly been right in the past.
MacBook Pros are consistently considered Apple's best laptops. In any case, these are the mostpowerfulat the moment, and the next generation currently in development should not change the situation. We actually expect to see it arrive with an M4 chip under the hood. This is the same processor that powers the most recent iPad Pros today. What's new ?
Neither the design nor the connectors of the M4 MacBook Pros should change significantly, compared to models equipped with M3 motherboards. On the software side, however, these devices could be the first natively equipped withmacOS Sequoia. The new version of the operating system was revealed during the Worldwide Developer Conference last June, with many new features on the menu.
Among these, we can notably cite the case ofApple Intelligence. It is a suite of features powered by artificial intelligence, as its name suggests. There we find the possibility of generating text thanks to a partnership with OpenAI, or even of correcting it. On-the-fly image creation is also included, and ChatGPT Plus users can take advantage of dedicated integration between the service and their Mac.
Potential MacBook Pro M4 release date
The new M4 MacBook Pros should hit the market just a few days after their presentation. This could take place in due form during a keynote, perhaps next October. A conference certainly seems to be in the cards for September, but should be primarily dedicated to the new iPhone 16 andiPhone 16 Pro.
