Monterey (12.1)
The new edition of macOS Monterey includes several new features and bug fixes:
- App Store: “StoreKit APIs that present a refund request sheet can be tested with StoreKit Testing in Xcode“
- External monitors: compatibility with the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card
- Notes and reminders: mass modification and deletion of tags
- Settings: the screen saver now correctly displays the desired Photos
- Trackpad: The issue that prevented the touchpad from responding to taps and clicks is fixed
- External monitors: those who weren't charging MacBook Pros or MacBook Airs while connected via Thunderbolt or USB-C finally can
- Mail: iCloud+ plan subscribers can hide their address with the optionHide My Email
- Notch: end of concerns linked to the notch on the MacBook Pro 2021 (options from the menu bar disappeared)
- SharePlay: content sharing with FaceTime, Apple Podcasts, Apple Music, Apple TV+ and Apple Fitness+

Previous versions
Apple also deployed an update numbered 11.6.2 for macOS Big Sur and another for macOS Catalina, this time numbered 2021-008. These are security patches, which notably close a major flaw allowing apps to override Gatekeeper's limitations. However, the publisher does not specify whether any machines had time to be infected or not…
Two flaws in Bluetooth have also been corrected.
How to install a macOS update?
It's quite simple. You just have to access the menuSystem Preferences > Software Updatethen click onUpgrade now. Please note, the procedure may take several hours if your Internet connection is not very fast. It is therefore better to trigger the update at the end of the day, especially in the office.
tvOS 15.2
The new features spotted in tvOS 15.2 are as follows:
- Souvenirs: new design and recommended sounds based on your Apple Music profile
- Apple TV: new tab to purchase paid content
- Apple Music:Voice Planwith Siri
- Siri: support for Dutch and French in Belgium, Russian in Russia and French, German and Italian for the Swiss
- Siri Remote: Pressing the Siri button gives you voice command recommendations
- Screensavers: new landscapes of Iceland and Scotland
