Otterbox buys LifeProof waterproof protections

The hullsOtterboxhave already been the subject of
many tickets among ourbillets

5of one of its direct competitors,Lifeproof.

Well, these two companies are no longer competitors since
Otterbox vient d’acheter Lifeprooffor an amount not
disclosed for the moment.

Interestingly enough, this acquisition comes after the rejection
of a complaint by Otterbox against Lifeproof for patent infringement.

Thus, the Lifeproof brand will be integrated into the Otterbox brand within 30
next few days.

It remains to be hoped that this acquisition will not harm the 250
employees of Lifeproof and that future “OtterProof” or “LifeBox” cases
will continue to innovate.
