No iPhone SE 4: the terrible rumor that is setting the web on fire

According to a new rumor signedMing-Chi Kuo, which we no longer present, the iPhone SE 4 that everyone is talking about would only be a prototype not dedicated to marketing. The general public would therefore not be entitled to it from next year, contrary to what has been announced many times by specialist analysts, including the Taiwanese himself in the past. Just yesterday, we even relayed similar information from JP Morgan, one of the investment banks most followed by Apple investors.

More precisely, the fourth generation iPhone SE would indeed exist but it would be a test model on which Cupertino would rely to develop its new in-house modem, internally. An alternative to Qualcomm chips forconnect to 5G, with a 100% proprietary development and whose subcontractors still remain secret.

The end of the compact format?

This announcement could therefore sign the end of mobile phonesless than 6 inchesdiagonally at Apple, even though many still today continue to opt for the third generation iPhone SE because its screen is small. This is in fact limited to 4.7 inches: an ideal size for the palms of the youngest or for jeans pockets that are too tight. But now, they are indeed thefolding smartphoneswhich act as a master key, particularly at Samsung.

Third generation iPhone SE: the alternative

If, however, you are, like many, emulators of the compact format, don't panic. The third generation iPhone SE is in fact still available in stores and if the collection is discontinued, there is a good chance that the device will remain so for a long time. Take the example ofiPhone XR: this model, which arrived at the end of 2018 in France, will still have lasted almost three years without a successor.
