- No live conference for the iPhone 15 keynote
- A pre-recorded video would rather be planned
- Despite everything, journalists should be invited to Cupertino to test the products
The next Apple Event (or keynote, it's up to you) should be held on September 12 in California. At the conference in question, we should undoubtedly discover the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro, as well as theApple WatchSeries 9. But apparently everything will be pre-recorded, as in previous editions since the coronavirus pandemic. Some will appreciate it, as the quality of the special effects has been there since 2019. Others, conversely, will probably regret the lack of spontaneity of speaking live.
For Apple, despite everything, this format allows it to avoid potential problems encountered during demonstrations. We all remember thefailencountered by the iPhone 4 during its launch in 2010: the Wi-Fi network, unavailable, had made people waitSteve Jobs Theaterlong seconds before being able to connect correctly.
Ask for the program
Next month's keynote will probably be an opportunity for Apple to unveil four smartphones and a connected watch. But that's not all. Indeed, during this event organized with great fanfare in front of an audience of specialized journalists, we should also learn what is the exact release date of iOS 17. For the moment, Cupertino has only indicated a deployment this “autumn“.
Not that there was any doubt, but Sept 12 event is being prepared as an in-person launch. So recorded video + people watching at the Apple campus + hands on afterwards. Same as the iPhone 14. Here’s what to expecthttps://t.co/mFZbdRMugD https://t.co/ljf0DW95zj

With this, some observers point towards the presentation of new Macs. However, don't expect to see pairs of wireless headphones arrive, but a seventh generation iPad mini may be in the cards. The tablet is, as its name suggests, the most compact that Apple offers to date. But it is not the least efficient, because the “classic” iPads are less fast – on paper. They are also the most affordable, by the way.
Following the conference, in video therefore, the various media invited on the big day should also be invited to test the new features announced in real conditions. At the last Worldwide Developer Conference, this is the Apple mixed reality headsetVision Prowhich could have been taken in hand in this way.
Watch from home
The Apple keynote will also, most likely, be broadcast online. We should then be able to follow it from the Apple firm's official YouTube channel, which will then offer the delayed content for latecomers.
Of course, we will also take care of publishing a complete summary within our columns, images and supporting technical details.
