This is what analysts from Counterpoint Research, a firm whose predictions we regularly relay, reveal onCNBC. To clarify, let us add that the options in question could be billed as part of a packageApple One*. For comparison, this is what the competition also offers today with the paid subscriptions of Google One and their AI tools, at Alphabet.
We don't know much more at the moment, but the information, although shared on a major media outlet, remains subject to caution. Indeed, this is not yet corroborated by the majority of our usual sources. However, this is not the first time that we have heard of a paid version of Apple Intelligence. In fact, at the beginning of July already,rumors in the corridor mentioned this possibility in the press. But as usual, the publisher has not confirmed anything. No keynote has been announced yet. However, it is rumored that the iPhone 16 Pro will be announced on September 10: it is perhaps on this occasion that prices will be revealed.
What would be the paid features of Apple Intelligence?
No one has the answer to this question to this day. We can nevertheless base ourselves on the paid offers of the competition, to try to see more clearly. Google One, for example, costs around 20 euros per month, again, for its AI Premium offer. This allows access toGemini Advanced,with the most advanced language model that Alphabet offers today (in version 1.5). What's more, Gemini is, with this subscription, integrated into Gmail, Docs and other services from the Mountain View firm. Which turns out. particularly very practical for generating professional content, even if in this case the value proposition of Google Workspace is better suited.
At OpenAI,ChatGPT Plusalso costs almost 20 euros per month (at the exchange rate in effect at the time of writing). Here, the package offers privileged access to image generation with DALL-E or the GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini and GPT-4 models. Data analysis is also more advanced with this version of the app, available on iOS and Android for several months already. As a bonus, ChatGPT Plus allows you to search the web. As a reminder, Gemini however offers it in its free version.
AI features in iOS 18 are still awaited
These new clues about a paid version of Apple Intelligence echo recent rumors about the suite of features, some of which, although anticipated, have not yet been confirmed. It was last June, more precisely during the Worldwide Developer Conference, that Cupertino revealed the suite of new AI features. But some of its advantages are still awaited, such asthe drastic improvement of Siri. The voice assistant, as we recall, is often considered “lagging behind” because of less efficient results than those of the Google Assistant or Copilot (Microsoft).
