In its latest Power On newsletter onBloomberg, journalist Mark Gurman returns to the subject this week. According to its sources, we will have to wait until next spring to see a big update to Siri.
In detail, our colleague explains that this would first involve beta tests for developers in January, then a presentation to the public in the spring, as part of an update to iOS 18.4“already in preparation”.
He cites several examples of features that could be deployed this way. It will thus be possible to ask Siri to retouch a photo before sending it to a loved one. The assistant will also understand what you are looking at on the screen and can determine your wishes based on context.
At the end of the year, Siri should nevertheless benefit from a new design and the integration of ChatGPT as Apple announced during its conference. Finally, Apple Intelligence will be well integrated into the Vision Pro headset, but that won't be done until next year.
As a reminder, the apple brand recently announced bad news for its European customers. Indeed, the Tech giant will not offer its AI functionalities during the launch on the old continent. The companysaid to fearthe new European Digital Markets Directive (DMA), which could prevent it from rolling out this technology to users in all 27 member states.
