The Pro Display XDR has a little brother: it's the Studio Display

Several rumors have announced in recent weeks that Apple was secretly preparing a more compact version of its external monitor, the Pro Display XDR. Mark Gurman fromBloombergwas therefore right, since the manufacturer has just presented the new Studio Display which with its27-inch 5K diagonalis clearly the best asset to go with the new Mac Studio. You can also, of course, connect it toa Mac Pro or Mac minivia the USB-C ports installed on the back.

But then, what makes this high-end accessory stand out from the crowd? First of all, it is covered with a layer of nano-textured glass, like the larger model that saw the light of day earlier. But that's not all, since unlike the latter it is also equipped with atwelve-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensorwhich will be your ideal ally for calling your friends or participating in a meeting via FaceTime.

With the Studio Display, Apple is clearly targeting wealthy budgets since the beast still costsmore than 1,500 euros. The screen is capable of displaying no less than a billion colors, making it an excellent companion for videographers, graphic designers and most other design professions. Not to mention that the brightness also reaches a very good score of 600 nits, even if it is unlikely that the device will be used in direct sunlight given its size which makes it difficult to transport outside.

In terms of practicality, several mountings are possible, one of which is VESA compatible and anotherheight adjustable. And for performance, an in-house Apple A13 chip facilitates integration with the macOS operating system. This is a CPU that is also found on certain iPhone and iPad models, with very good imaging results compared to the competition.
