Apple has finally deployed the final version 12.4 of macOS, its Mac operating system. Apart from the correction of bugs and security vulnerabilities, there are a few new features to mention. Here they are listed:
- Universal Control or Universal Control:announced several months ago by Apple, this function allows you to use a Mac alongside an iPhone or iPad, very smoothly. You can drag files from Mac to iPad, for example, and vice versa, but also use the same mouse and keyboard on all connected devices, as if they were one.
- Webcam Studio Display :With the macOS 12.4 update also comes new firmware for the Studio Display screen. The aim of the maneuver with these updates is to improve the display quality of the webcam integrated into Apple's external screen
- Apple Podcasts :new setting to limit the number of episodes downloaded. With this setting, old downloaded episodes are automatically deleted to make room for new ones. Apple also announced something new for podcast creators: support for third-party distribution services
- Security :Apple has fixed nearly 50 security vulnerabilities
- Microphone and sound:fixed a bug that made it impossible to listen to a conversation on the Mac (in Zoom for example), with AirPods, while the latter's microphone was muted in the settings
