The video recap of WWDC 2021, developer side

We saw WWDC 2021, or rather the opening conference,be summarized in videos here. Here is now a look back at what took place during the various workshops, round tables and presentations from the developers' side during the event which began on June 7 and ended last Friday, June 11.

Day 1: opening

The first day was the announcement of new features for Apple's next OS, including iOS 15 and macOS Monterey. The developers were then able to discover the various new functionalities of the systems, but also the new tools made available to them for their applications. Apple's video summarizes these changes.

Day 2: audio, accessibility, etc.

The second day focused on sound recognition, app subscriptions, accessibility improvements, and proximity functions between accessories.

Day 3: room for augmented reality, shortcuts, etc.

The third day highlighted new uses for augmented reality, future ergonomic improvements in particular for the assembly of application interfaces, but also the development of actions for Apple's Shortcuts app, among others.

Day 4: video games, private life, etc.

A look back at the Apple Design Awards (see the winners here), discussions around the issue of privacy and examples of improvements to the player experience in video games, among others.

Day 5: education and health, Safari

Make way for Safari improvements, particularly visual, with workshops to explain how to make the most of it. The design of health education and research applications was also discussed during this day, among many other subjects.

There you go, theWWDC 2021 is over, its end launches a major beta testing phase for the various new versions of Apple OS. These will arrive this fall for the general public, and until then, we will be sure to detail all the changes they bring.
