See you in a year for the Apple metaverse

Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned Taiwanese analyst when it comes to the future of Apple, was recently able to speak with the investors who follow him by discussing the next major wearable that the brand should unveil. Afterthe watch on the wristand the headphones in the ears, this time it would be an augmented and/or virtual reality headset confused here and there withconnected glasses. The two devices should, however, see the light of day, and therefore be quite different in terms of design and functionality.

At the moment, however, little is known about these products. But Kuo thinks he knows that the AR headset will be released in the fourth quarter of 2022. A fairly reasonable schedule given that Apple is increasingpatents in favor of such a system for many months now.

No need for a mobile!

Still according to Ming-Chi Kuo, the performance of this gadget would not be outdone since the researcher speaks of a “level” calculation close to that of a Mac. For comparison, the latest laptops in this collection are ranked among the fastest on the market. This is thanks to the presence of proprietary chips under the hood, the M1 Pro and M1 Max, integrating processor, graphics card and RAM on the same printed circuit.

Unlike the value proposition of certain similar ranges, Apple's headset would also be capable of operating completely autonomously. Understand that you will not have to connect it to any machine or an iPhone to benefit from it. Information which is reassuring, at a time when many feared that their hardware would be incompatible because it was too old or equipped with a competing operating system.

UHD screen

Finally, Kuo explains to us that VR would indeed be included in addition to data superimposed on the real external environment, thanks to two 4K panels. One would be installed in front of the right eye and the other the left, with OLED for good contrasts and reduced energy consumption.
