The studio that created the Doom license, id Software, announced the arrival of the games on mobile a few days agoDoom 1 et Doom 2. Bethesda, developer of the last episode Doom released in 2016 on consoles, also participated in this project to adapt the two famous shooting games for iOS. Their release on iPhone and iPad coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Doom license. The first Doom game was released at the end of 1993 on the computer. The next installment, Doom 2: Hell on Earth, was released in 1994.
But in 2019, you no longer need a computer and keyboard-mouse to play these antiques and references to the FPS genre. All you need is an iPhone or iPad.

Doom: the origins of the FPS
In these iOS adaptations we find the graphics of the time, but also the interface of the original games, as well as the famous vintage sound effects so iconic which have probably marked many players today in their thirties or older.
Hundreds of demonic monsters, each more disgusting than the last, must be eliminated in dark levels, for a disturbing adventure filled with action, explosions, but above all bullets and blood.
Note that the iOS version of the Doom game includes the “Thy Flesh Consumed” extension released at the time to extend the horrific experience of the first opus. As for the Doom 2 game, its iOS port offers 20 additional levels and a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players.
Retro game fans, you are served. As for others who have never played one of these two legendary titles that laid the foundations of the “first-person shooter” genre, this is an opportunity to enjoy a real return to basics.
