Big day for users of Spotify and Apple products, since the Swedish firm has just updated its iOS app, available here on the App Store, to add support for Siri, which had been in testing for a few weeks.
This allows Spotify iOS users to ask Siri to play songs, albums and playlists in Spotify. The only condition is to have a device running iOS 13.
However, for this to work, the user must specify the name of the service or app in their voice command. For example, “listen to Bohemian Rhaspody on Spotify”, if the user forgets to mention Spotify, by default this will then start playback on Apple Music.
It is also now possible to control Spotify in hands-free mode with CarPlay using the voice assistant.
Spotify has also just launched a new app for Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K. Here are some screenshots of the Apple TV app from ouriCulture colleagues.
