If like me you spend a good part
of your days in front of your Mac then the application that I am going to present to you
might please you.
When you are working, or just busy on the computer
and you receive a phone call, it is sometimes painful to see someone pick up
then hold the iPhone in your hand to continue the conversation.
Of course there is the iPhone speaker or the Bluetooth headsets which
allow you to have your hands free, but today I offer you a
new solution:make calls with the Mac.
Called Dialogue, the app to install on the Mac allows you to make calls
from the computer by connecting via Bluetooth to the iPhone:
To start using the application, simply pair the Mac and
the iPhone via Bluetooth which is quite easy to do. Once the connection
established, Dialogue will ask the Mac for permission to access contacts.
There is absolutely nothing to do on the iPhone which then behaves like
with any Bluetooth headset except thatthis time
the headset is the Mac.
On the Mac, the app is discreet and is displayed in the form of a
combined in the menu bar at the top of the screen. A click on the icon reveals
the menu which allows you to search the directory. Once the
chosen correspondent, all that remains is to click again to
start the call. Then everything goes through the Mac speakers.
During the call, it is possible to press the 'record' key
to keep a piece or the whole conversation preciously, we don't know
never, it can always be useful. It is of course also possible to
receive calls, a window is then displayed in the middle of the screen of the
Mac.
On the iPhone, thanks to the choice of source, the passage of the Mac speaker
to that of the iPhone is done without problem.
I tried the application with several correspondents anddemon
on the other hand, everything went remarkably well. Conversely, some of
my correspondents didmention of quite unpleasant echo during
of conversation. We will therefore monitor the next updates of
the app to see if this problem persists. In the meantime, this is a solution
really practical for, for example, continuing to work while spending a
phone call or even to keep track of a call via the function
save.
