Test: the iPad 10 is a design gem but its price is off-putting

At 589 euros, the tenth generation iPad is200 euros more expensives than its predecessor. Above all, we discover a format “much more pleasant to handle” and which above all wants to be “more modern“. Now users can choose between four colors: yellow, pink, silver or blue.

Top performance

On the other hand, in terms of raw power, the iPad 10 does very well. Certainly,no Apple silicon chipunder the hood, however, the arrival of the A14 Bionic processor allows small wonders for “video editing” or “retouching photos in RAW“. Yes, you read correctly: no need to invest in an iPad Pro costing more than a thousand euros to be entitled to these mobile benefits. This is a real advancement in the iPad range that the manufacturer is offering us here, it seems.

What about the battery then? Bad surprise. According to the figures of01Lab, we fall toless than ten hours of video playback. The previous generation, for its part, reached more than eleven and a quarter hours. It's a shame for such an expensive device. You would think that with a heavier weight and a thicker form factor the iPad 10 would come with improved endurance, but that is apparently not the case.
