These are coupled with up to 192 gigabytes of RAM, and have a Neural Engine for calculations powered by artificial intelligence. The macOS Sonoma operating system, also presented at the annual Cupertino conference for app creators, is compatible with the central unit and will be released this fall in final version.

The price is still a problem

But the product will necessarily be less powerful, while the Mac Studio is intended for “professionals” with up to twenty-four CPU cores compared to twelve for its little brother.

Better than the previous one?

What makes Mac Studio a “little bomb“, which is ideal for video editing or music production. The connectivity is also quite well provided, and the ports located on the back support numerous 4K screens without causing the fan to flinch too much.

In short, the Mac Studio 2023 therefore represents a clear improvement compared to its predecessor, but the quality/price ratio remains questionable. We can bet that the next version will widen the gap even further, but its release date still remains the biggest unknown for the moment.
