For some time
already, the first 5G tests have started in different countries around the world including
France with Orange which madeseveral tests in
laboratoryfor this future standard which will replace the current 4G
with speeds of up to 10 Gbps.
There is news regarding French 5G, because the president of the Authority
telecoms regulator, Sébastien Soriano, announced that 5G will be
tested in9 French citiesfromthis
year, with commercial availability from 2020.
Arcep will launch several phases of 5G testing in nine metropolises
French which are Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille, Douai, Montpellier, Nantes, Le
Havre, Saint-Etienne and Grenoble, a choice dictated “by the availability of
frequencies".
Sébastien Soriano, however, recalls that 5G is still in the process of being
standardization and that it should not be available to the general public until
2020, however Arcep wants France to be a pioneer in this
new standard.
Several mobile operators are engaged in a speed race to
know who will be the first to deploy 5G for its customers, the operator
American AT&T promised that it would be launched this year.
Large tech companies are also internally testing the
5Glike Apple, Facebook and
Google, while Huawei and Samsung push for the development of a network
5G in Europe and around the world.
The commercial deployment of 5G is normally planned for 2020, but the
South Korea will implement 5G this year during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics
available to audiovisual professionals as part of the event
international sports and its broadcasting.
Since last year, Applecarries out 5G testsin his
laboratories, we can therefore easily think that the next generations
of iPhone will be compatible with this standard which promises speeds that can
reach 10 Gbps.
