Karl Lagarfeld was apparently a big music fan and lover of Apple products. We learned that he owned a total of 600 iPods. And in fact, no less than 310 of its old devices will be sold during an auction.
Karl Lagarfeld proclaimed himself “the king of iPods”
The event will be held on May 4 in Cologne and will be the third and last meeting of this kind since the death of the famous designer. Why did Karl Lagarfeld own so many iPods? The answer is provided to us by Pierre Mothes, vice-president of Sotheby's in France, the auction house which manages this operation: “He said about himself that he was the king of iPods, he was crazy about them". According to him, the Apple brand's device would have even changed the way we consume music.
In detail, our colleagues fromt-onlinewe learn that the devices concerned by this auction are sixth and seventh generation iPods and iPod nanos, whose estimated price is between 3000 and 6000 euros.

In any case, you will need to budget a lot of money since the lots will be sold in packs of 50 or 80 units. Enough to reach a total amount of several tens of thousands of euros. It remains to be seen whether this sum will allow access to Karl Lagarfeld's musical tastes. It will most likely be necessary to change the batteries, says the auction house.
