5 new features coming to Instagram

With the largest number of apps ranked in the top iOS downloads, Facebook is now considered a leader in the field.Recently, Mark Zuckerberg's firm notably updated its WhatsApp messaging platform with some confidentiality benefits.. And today, it's up to its cousin Instagram to also be entitled to some improvements for Reels and profile management. So let's review the changes in question.

Format 16:9

First of all, it is the format of the publications which could soon change from 1080 x 1080 pixels to 16:9, which is enough to display a photo infull screen. The solution should then recall Shorts on YouTube or Stories. For Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, this is a way of β€œtreat photo and video the same wayβ€œ. See you in a week or two to see the result, the update is not yet ready.

Programming

If you want to schedule a post today on Instagram, you need to use a third-party app. Instagram has understood this well and is working on its own alternative, where it will be possible toschedule Reels and postsdirectly from its application. The proposed time frame is between twenty minutes and seventy-five days, but here too the tool is currently being tested and we do not know when we will be able to take advantage of it.

Reel pinned

With this, Instagram wants to allow you to pin the Reel of your choice in the tab dedicated to these short videos. Why not.

Improved organic

Alessandro Paluzzi, the developer behind all these findings, has not been idle and has also noticed that small β€œtags” corresponding to passions could soon be added under the bio, accompanied by emojis. In the image below, we recognize the activity β€œgrillsβ€œ, video games β€œPlayStation” or the group β€œImagine Dragonsβ€œ. The interface is reminiscent of Nomad List profiles or the questions you are asked when you register on Reddit.

History on computer

Finally, expect to see the menu arriveYour activityon the big screen. For the moment, this section is only accessible on the mobile app, which is quite a shame especially for Instagram professionals. There is a complete history of likes, comments, recent searches and all other actions carried out on the social network.
