In recent weeks, several rumors have mentioned the arrival of a new type of AirPods. Analysts have chosen to call them “AirPods Pro Lite”. These should fill the huge gap between the second generation AirPods and the AirPods Pro.
However, Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the most famous and above all the most knowledgeable analysts regarding the Cupertino company, reveals some intriguing information. It seems that this AirPods Pro Lite rumor is an error, and that it is instead a product developed by Apple under its Beats brand.
This analyst also presented a second note in which he discusses the future of AirPods. Regarding the third generation AirPods, Ming-Chi Kuo states that they should use the same appearance as the current AirPods Pro. As for their production, it should begin in the first half of 2021. The rumor that the next AirPods Pro should arrive next month would therefore be false.
Moreover, Apple is also reportedly working on a second version of the AirPods Pro,they should appear at the end of 2021, well after the AirPods 3. Ming-Chi Kuo says no more about the technical characteristics of these future AirPods.
Regarding the rumor around the AirPods It could also be the new Powerbeats Pro since they are considered a “lite” version of the AirPods Pro in some ways. They still lack features like active noise cancellation and a wireless charging case.
