We know a little more about the next AirPods. It seems that they are embarkingambient light sensors, heart rate, as well as head movements. According to this report written by Digitimes, these new health-related technologies could appear on the next AirPods over the next 2 years. Thanks to this system, the ultra-popular wireless headphones will be able to track various activities and possibly monitor certain health conditions. Which the Apple Watch already largely does.
This report still remains too evasive, however we learn that the Taiwanese company ASE Technology should be responsible for developing this ambient light sensor technology for the Cupertino company. Using such sensors to track various health-related parameters, including heart rate, has been demonstrated by many researchers. These sensors work by measuring the intensity of light as it passes through body tissues and using this data to draw conclusions.
This is not the first time that Apple has raised the possibility that this kind of technology could be introduced into its AirPods. Moreover, the iPhone already offers similar technology to automatically adjust the brightness of the phone's screen depending on the light in a room. It is necessary that with the enthusiasm created by the provision of health-related functions on Apple Watches, it seems logical that the Cupertino company offers this on AirPods. Apple CEO Tim Cook has previously said that he believes Apple's contribution to healthcare will be its greatest legacy as a company.
