One month from iOS 10, iOS 9 installed on 87% of machines

And
Apple follows its annual release schedule, iOS 10 should logically be
available next month at the same time as the iPhone 7, which means that iOS 9
has now been available for almost 1 year.

Apple has just updated the circular diagram on the site reserved for
developers which gives the adoption rate of the latest versions of iOS.
This reveals thatiOS 9is nowinstalled on
87% of compatible devices
and available on the market.

The adoption rate of iOS 9has increased by 12 points since January, where it was installed on 75%
compatible devices, i.e. 3 iPhones and iPads out of 4 in the world.

iOS 8 is still present on 10% of the iOS device fleet, with
surely a large number of iPhone 4s for whom iOS 9 is not an option
viable. Finally, 3% of compatible devices use old versions
d’iOS.

As a reminder, iOS 9 is the version of iOS with the highest adoption rate
fast since the launch of the iPhone in 2007, Apple communicated a figure
50% of compatible machines less than a week after availability
of iOS 9, it remains to be seen whether iOS 10 will succeed in doing better.
