iPhone 8 and 8 Plus: slower start than in previous years

After a little more than a
week of sale via pre-orders and a few days after a
availability in stores and on the Apple online store, first
figures regarding public interest in the iPhone 8 have already fallen. And he
turns out that this new model, both in version 8 and in version 8 Plus,
reached the lowest adoption score among iPhone owners since 2012,
following the first week of sales. On the other hand, the figures delivered by

Therefore, this may not fully reflect actual sales figures.
Still, the analysis firm makes it possible to produce a first report
gives an overview relative to previous years. And while in 2016, after a
week of sales, the iPhone 7 and 7 plus totaled1.2% of iPhones

in 2014 and 2015 respectively, and that the iPhone 7 Plus was at 0.2% in 2016,
in 2017, the iPhone 8 Plus arrives0.4% this year.

Alongside a relative disinterest in the new model, we can therefore
note a More and more popular model over the years, a tendency to

This year 2017 is, however, a little special, given that, like
we saw it in
our survey on the wait for the iPhone

iPhone buyers this fall have left the iPhone 8 aside to
lean towards the iPhone X.

Moreover, the latter could only be available in small quantities in
a first time. Pick up a copy during the first days of
availability will probably be a real obstacle course.

In the end, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, even if neglected to a certain extent
by iPhone buyers this year compared to previous years,
are not because of a question of disinterest in the iPhone, but because of a
Very special and highly anticipated iPhone X. Sales figures for this model
will then be much more revealing.
