Apple pulls out all the stops with the MacBook Pro M4 and Apple Intelligence

Apple has just ended (barring any surprises?) a week full of announcements. Afterthe launch of the iMac M4at the start of the week, followed yesterday bythe ever-smaller Mac mini, it's the MacBook Pro's turn to take center stage. As expected, the laptop does not have any major new features, but has solid features, which make it a high-end product, which is likely to make people happy under the tree.

An exclusive M4 Max chip

If the arrival of the M4 chip in this MacBook Pro is not a surprise, we find an M4 Pro variant in the computer, already seen yesterday with the Mac mini. Above all, we discover at the same time the M4 Max, Apple's most powerful chip to date. Now available in a “space black” color that may appeal to professionals, the 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with an M4 chip is becoming the absolute reference at Apple.Sold for €1899, it offers three Thunderbolt 4 ports for 16 GB of “unified memory”, Apple-style RAM.

Regarding the two computers with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, they will be entitled to Thunderbolt 5 ports (up to 120 Gbit/s against 4 Gbit/s for Thunderbolt 4). All these computers have the right toa new version of the nano-textured screenand up to 1,000 nits of brightness. They get a 12 MP camera with Center Stage, for high-quality FaceTime and video conferencing calls.

Date and price

The new MacBook Pro is available for pre-order today and will arrive in stores on November 8, alongside the iMac and Mac mini. In its “classic” version, the MacBook Pro is sold for €1,899 by Apple. The apple brand increases its pricesup to €4,699.00for the 16-inch version with an M4 Max chip. This extreme configuration has a 16-core CPU, 40 for the GPU and 48 GB of unified memory. All with 1 TB of internal storage, so you no longer have to worry about backing up your files.
