Apple highlights its accessibility features in a new ad

A new advertisement around the iPhone and Apple has just appeared on the web. Initially broadcast on the brand's YouTube channel, it should be visible on social networks and the small screen in the coming weeks.

Rather than praising the performance or even the photographic qualities of its latest iPhone, 14, Pro Apple has decided to focus on a completely different aspect of the phone. These are the features around accessibility that are highlighted. In its video, Apple presents noise detection on the Apple Watch or even the audio description of an image.

The ad benefits from the “I Am the Greatest” soundtrack by Spinifex Gum (featuring Marliya Choir). Apple has chosen to publish its video by activating subtitles by default. Since its launch in 2007, the iPhone has quickly become an essential tool for accessibility.

Today many features are designed with this in mind, and Apple is one of the brands working the most on this issue. In May of this year, the Cupertino company launchedthe “Live Caption” functionalitywhich allows you to live subtitle a video or audio.

Apple and accessibility: a lasting affair

This solution adds to the long list of accessibility options available on the iPhone. With an Apple brand phone, it is possible to activate the “magnifying glass” (see our tutorial here). This solution is widely used by visually impaired people.

For people with hearing problems, Apple has also developed a solution. As presented in the advertisement above, the Apple brand's devices are capable ofrecognize sounds. This feature arrived with iOS 14 and quickly proved to be essential.
