The
fourth beta of iOS 10 is outand brings with it different
changes, includingnew emoticons. The old ones are
also slightly modified to stick to the “modern style” of iOS 10.
These are therefore no less than100 new yellow and small faces
various illustrationswhich spice up conversations
text messages on iOS 10. We have a little bit of everything, new jobs, new
sports, and some rather special images:
It is with the Unicode Consortium, the coordinating organization of
development of Unicode, that Apple ensured the universality of these
new emoticons. Users will in particular be entitled, with iOS 10, to
new images representing women, in sports or in
professions, or even images of single-parent families.
We also see the appearance of the multi-colored LGBTQ flag representing the
community of non-heterosexual people (lesbians, gays, bisexuals,
transsexuals), as well as a plastic gun. Concerning the latter, he
actually replaces, at Apple, the real gun emoticon present in
Unicode since version 6.
Regarding weapons, the Cupertino company would also have lobbied
to the Consortium to remove2 Unicode 9 emoticons which
represented a real weapon.
Both images were related to the Olympics, but Apple
would probably have felt that they were confusing in the situation
current with numerous shootings having recently taken place in the United States
notably.
Concerning the design of the emoticons, itdiffers very
slightlyfrom what we saw so far:
The line is a little moredarkfor more pictures
clearetcontrasted.
What's your new favorite emoticon?
