CES 2024 is over, what can we learn from it?

CES 2024, the largest electronics show in the world, took place last week. We followed it from afar, without necessarily delivering every new item presented on site (there are simply too many), with the publication of daily summaries and some specific zooms on a handful of products.

Let's take advantage of this review article to tell you where to find or find these articles. And where to go to get even more details on the event. First of all, here are the few new features announced at the end of the show andwho marked us.

The notable announcements of the last day

  • Infinix E-Color Shift :the brandInfinixpresented a new technology for its smartphones, based on E-Ink Prism panels allowing the color of the case to be changed on demand
  • Control iPhone with language:the MouthPad, an accessibility accessory seen at CES 2024, is a control device to be placed in the mouth, and which allows, via Bluetooth, to perform actions on an iPhone for example, with tongue movements
  • Rabbit R1 :small device equipped with an intelligent assistant, connected to the internet and with an extremely simple interface. In addition, it is inexpensive compared to a smartphone (starting price of $200 across the Atlantic). However, its technical sheet remains unclear for the moment. What about its internal storage, autonomy? The evolution of the product should be followed with interest despite these questions (source)

What to remember from CES

As usual, CES 2024 was an opportunity for many brands to highlight their new technologies. To put it simply, here is4 major advances that made headlines at the show:

  • Improvement in OLED technology, notably with transparent panels
  • Breakthrough in Qi2 wireless charging technology (notably bringing magnetism to MagSafe)
  • Home automation, once again, is central, with hundreds of new connected products (health, home, security, lights, etc.)
  • Artificial intelligence is everywhere (even in a barbecue…)

There were also many new things to discover in the car, television or even the world of personal computers, or even VR. We therefore invite you to see the complete CES 2024 thread published by our colleagues atPresse-citron.net, if you want a much more complete overview of the announcements made this year in Las Vegas.
