This is a new feature that is getting a lot of attention. Thereupdate to iOS 14emphasizesprotection of personal data. In particular, there is an option present in the settings which allows you to deactivate behavior tracking by application publishers and also to inform users of such practices. This feature has sincebeen delayedof several months by Apple.

Facebook also criticizes the App Store

As one can imagine, the idea is not to the taste of Facebook and in particular of David Fischer, an executive of the company, in charge of advertising. CNBC reports the words of the leader who believes that “the very tools that entrepreneurs and businesses currently rely on are under threat. To me, Apple's proposed changes are quite radical changes and will hurt developers and businesses the most.»

He then attacked the Apple brand's model of “selling luxury equipment”:

That's good, but I don't think it's appropriate to then dictate what other business models should be, and the one that we think is so valuable, which is based on advertising, in our case, personalized ads, to allowing free products, allowing businesses to launch and grow and thrive, we're going to champion that. And we think it's really important that not only us, but our industry does that.

Relations between the two Tech giants are definitely not in good shape and we told you last September how Facebook had questioned its competitorto the European Unionabout the App Store.
