Dynamic Island: another alert has been moved to iPhone 14 Pro

With iOS 16 on iPhone 14 Pro, the Dynamic Island comes to life at the front photo sensor to display notifications that previously took up more space on the screen. Among these, we find in particular thepairing AirPods Pro, playing music with apps like Spotify or even giving directions with Apple Maps.

Although Apple has not specifically indicated the complete list of all the information that can be displayed here, testing the iPhone 14 Pro in real conditions allows us to learn more. We discover, for example, that the message that is displayed in the event oflow battery, in order to warn you that there is only 20% autonomy or less left, has also been moved for the occasion. From now on, the alert is integrated into the heart of the Dynamic Island and no longer in the middle of the interface.

What else with the Dynamic Island?

The Dynamic Island also keeps you informed for the sake ofsecurity, when you unlock your iPhone 14 Pro with Face ID or an Apple Watch, pay for a transaction with Apple Pay, or use scanned car keys in Maps. On the communications side, the Dynamic Island alerts you of incoming calls, files received via AirDrop, switching to silent mode and activating airplane mode.

Finally, we can also cite the case of accessories connected via Bluetooth, cable connection via the Lightning port, changes with themode Concentration, the launch of Shortcuts, the insertion of a SIM card, AirPlay streaming, the geolocation of lost devices via Find My and interactions using the NFC chip in general.

Soon for everyone

For the moment, the Dynamic Island is only available on the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max because they are the only Apple mobiles equipped witha duo of punches allowing this virtual specificity. But soon, this could change: in fact, rumors believe that all iPhone 15s will be entitled to the new pill when they are released next year. Including, therefore, the basic models which would be the “classic” iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus. However, it is difficult to know if the latter will see the light of day, because it seems thatits predecessor enjoyed relatively limited success.
