Mini-LED screens, new profit vectors for Apple

New rumors from Ming-Chi Kuo. The Taiwanese analyst, considered one of the most reliable of the decade when it comes to guessing the future of the Apple brand, this weekend shared his most recent estimates to the shareholders who follow him. We learn in particular that Apple does indeed intend to market Macs equipped with a mini-LED display,as mentioned previously.

Above all, the manufacturer is currently looking for additional partners for the production of the necessary components. Objective: to diversify the risks linked to outsourcing and supply, but also to reduce the cost of a technology which is currently only found on the firm's fifth generation iPad Pro. This one was released last May, with a displaywhich has since caused much ink to flow.

Tablets, just a taste?

Also according to Kuo, the first MacBooks equipped with a mini-LED panel would have every chance of emerging from the ground by next year. Thanks to this advantage combined with other factors such as the increased performance of Apple silicon chips or a revisited design, sales of the range would then be raised a notch. The expert is therefore counting on 20% more models sold in one year, or even more.

Obviously, these figures remain in the nature of supposition so that considering them as investment advice may seem particularly risky. Nevertheless, even at a time of a relatively volatile market for AAPL stock on the NASDAQ, the 76.6% confidence attributed byAppleTrackaccording to TFI Securities can be very useful even for small portfolios.

Micro-LED for the future

According to Kuo, micro-LED screens still do not exist - at least officially - at Apple andexpected on his Watchcould also become legion before long. The researcher is therefore banking on the 2023-2024 calendar for this solution, the price of which could become sufficiently accessible around this period. The other manufacturers themselves would then participate in its democratization, without us yet knowing who will be the first to put their feet in the dish.

Samsung? Oppo? As is often the case, Asia will probably not risk missing such an event for mobiles. In the meantime, the most impatient can still watch the first TV of its kind at the chaebol...
