In my hands, perhaps lies an exploit signed by Apple

  • The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the best-selling smartphone of the last half year
  • Five iPhones are in the top 10
  • The other mobiles are Samsung

Apple's iPhone 14 Pro Max is, it seems, the best-selling smartphone in the world in the first half of 2023. No less than 26.5 million units would have found buyers during this period, despite the crisis. According to Omdia, which shares the study detailing these figures, the entire podium in question is also monopolized by the Apple firm's mobiles.

The iPhone 14 Pro is thus second, closely followed by the iPhone 14 (third) and the iPhone 13 (fourth). No iPhone 14 Plus in the lot, therefore, but this is not a surprise given thatthis model would not sell that well. Note, moreover, that a fifth iPhone is present in the ranking: it is the iPhone 11, in tenth position. Half of the products in the top 10 are therefore equipped with the iOS operating system. As for the other five, these are Samsung devices, with the Galaxy A14 in the lead (fifth).

A repeat success next semester?

These numbers echo recent predictions from specialist analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who estimates that the iPhone 15 could sell 225 million units. Enough to potentially allow them to stay at the top of international sales.

These future high-end mobiles should be revealed on September 12. In any case, it was on this date thatApple organizes its next keynote, where wireless headphones could also see the light of day.

Galaxy A14: good value for money

For its part, the Samsung Galaxy A14 presents itself as an excellent alternative to the third generation iPhone SE. The device indeed offers a much larger screen (6.6 inches), but for a price approximately three times more affordable.

The RAM reaches, what's more, up to six gigabytes – compared to only four on the iPhone SE 3. But the integration is not as effective with Macs, nor even with all Windows computers, d 'elsewhere.

And you, have you bought a smartphone in the last six months? If yes, which one?
