A new study published by the analysis instituteJ.D. Powerwas recently published. She became interested in the American automobile market in 2018, and more particularly inthe implementation of on-board car solutions from Apple and Google. It appears that CarPlay and Android Auto aremore and more in demandby new car buyers. By extension, they are also increasingly used:
Asmall spring preference for CarPlay, given that customer satisfaction is slightly better for the apple solution. On the other hand,Google catches up with Google Maps.
The search giant's navigation app is in fact the most used in the car,ahead of Apple Maps and Waze, but also ahead of the integrated GPS offered by manufacturers. This is also the case for both Android and iPhone smartphone users. Note, however, that Google Maps is less dominant on iOS than on the competing system.
Overall, the survey reveals that there aremore and more very interested usersby these Apple and Android embedded systems. These can even surpass in satisfaction the alternatives signed by manufacturers. These remain, by nature, much more limited in possibilities.
