Apple just released a new trailer forFoundation, which will be released on its TV+ streaming platform on September 24. As is often the case, it will be impossible to view it elsewhere: it is an exclusive. To take advantage of it, the subscription costs 4.99 euros per month with a catalog of several dozen serious titles ready to compete with Disney+.
The series is an adaptation ofFoundation Cycle, a sequel to several science fiction short stories and novels published between 1942 and 1993 from the pen of Isaac Asimov. Renowned writer in English, we also owe him theCycle des Robotsand theEmpire Cycle. According to him, the work even influenced George Lucas to create the universe ofStar Wars, which will be a worldwide box office success.
Distribution
In the cast, we find above all Jared Harris in the role of Hari Seldon, scientist and statistician who more or less predicted an end of the world for which all humans are preparing. The fifty-nine-year-old actor, for his part, has already been seen in other successful series such asChernobyl,The CrownetFringe. Others still know him for his portrayal of Doctor Charles Ashford in the filmResident Evil: Apocalypse.
The Finnish Laura Birn will play another key character, namely Eto Demerzel. It is in fact an android robot imagined to be completely indistinguishable from a real human being. As for the other actors announced, they are as follows:

Foundationis already announced as the largest film shoot Ireland has ever seen, with over five hundred people on the crew.
