iMac M4: what should you expect from Apple?

Apple should, in the coming weeks, organize a new conference. THIS keynote, the last of the year, should be an opportunity to put the brand's computers center stage. According to several analysts, including the very renowned journalist Mark Gurman, who works for the Bloomberg news agency, the computer screen should be entitled to a small update this year.

Better performance?

Gurman assures that Apple will offer a new version of its iMac with a 24-inch screen and an M4 chip. Already launched on the iPad Pro last spring, this chip would be a major development for the iMac which until now works with an M3 chip. A development which should be greatly felt in the use of the computer screen on a daily basis.

Other information provided by Gurman about this new iMac,in RAM. Apple could go to 10GB compared to 8 currently. Here again this development should provide power and fluidity during use.

No new design?

If these internal developments are interesting for the iMac, they should be the only ones to appear this year. The design of the iMac was revised in 2021 and Apple does not want to update it yet. The rumors surrounding this device do not suggest any change.

Apple is reportedly working at the same time on another version of the iMac, much larger,with a 30 inch screen. If this new version were to see the light of day (during 2025 at the earliest), the Apple brand could take the opportunity to make several modifications to the design of the most popular computer screen in the world.

As a reminder, the iMac is now sold by Appleat the price of 1599€in its M3 version 8 GB of CPU and 256 GB of internal storage. At most, the iMac can have a configuration of 24 GB of unified memory, 2 TB of storage for more than 3000€.
