Google recently launched a new
initiative called "Digital
Wellbeing" which integrates several new features into Android and
their apps to help fight smartphone addiction.
A few days ago,YouTube
added settingsto monitor and reduce your consumption of
videos, and now it's the turn of the photo-sharing social network
Instagram to integrate a new feature forknow the
time spent in the app.
It was the American tech site TechCrunch which made this discovery in the
code of the Android version of Instagram, a find which was confirmed by
Kevin Systrom, CEO of Instagram: "It's true, we are in the process of
design tools that will help users know the time spent
on Instagram.
This is a trend that several major companies are following to help
fight against addiction to various devices and services.
For his part,Apple
a promisto add additional parental controls in the
next updates of iOS to allow, among other things, parents of
monitor the time their children spend on an iPhone screen or
of iPad.
