Last June, we discovered hidden in the code of the iOS 13 beta, an image which would be a connected tracker signed Apple. It is named by Apple, “Apple Tag”, which could be translated as “Apple Tracker”. This new product would therefore be an object tracking accessory, similar to the “Tile” type Bluetooth trackers already available on the market. And similarly, Apple's solution would allow you to attach this little spy to your iCloud account.
Such a product and its Bluetooth connection would offer the possibility of finding an object lost in nature such as a wallet, bag, bicycle, key ring or other that does not have an internet connection, as soon as an iPhone or other product Apple passes close to the latter. Apple was expected to unveil this new product during the iPhone 11/11 Pro keynote, but that didn't happen, suggesting it wasn't quite ready yet.
After revealingmany details on this Apple Tagfound in one of the latest beta versions of iOS 13 a few weeks ago, our colleagues at MacRumors have obtained new information on the subject. They have published a new image showing the interface of this object tracker in the Find app of a new beta version of iOS 13.

In these images, we can see a new tab called “Items” or “Objects” (in French). The interface shows that this future Apple tracker codenamed “B389” can attach to different objects such as keys, a suitcase, or even a bicycle. This tab should display the location of lost items to which the user has attached an Apple tracker.
At the end of August,we shared an image with youwhich represents an ARKit “star” found in the Locate app under iOS 13. This suggests that it would be possible to use augmented reality to find lost objects equipped with this famous tracker. It appears that iOS 13 would also add a virtual “leash” between an Apple tracker and an iOS or watchOS device, in order to warn the user when the tag moves out of range of an iPhone or a Apple Watch.
It is likely that Apple will unveil this product at an upcoming keynote. Less likely, but worth considering, the Californian firm could also unveil its Apple Tag via a simple press release.
