Nestled in iOS 13, a connected object tracker from Apple

Last month, we mentioned a rumor thatApple was working on small physical trackerslinked to iCloud, and allowing you to track objects, such as keys or a wallet.

It seems that this is confirmed, since the first beta of iOS 13 includes tracesof a trackerconnected, signed Apple. The latter would work with the new “Find My” application:

The iOS 13 code includes references to a product called “Tag1,1“. The latter could correspond to a small object connected to nearby Apple devices, like AirPods or HomePod.

Another graphic element found in iOS 13 givesan idea of the shapeof this new product from Apple. It would be round in shape with probably an Apple logo on top.

This new product would be an object tracking tracker, similarto “Tile” type Bluetooth trackers already available on the market. And similarly, Apple's solution would allow you to attach this little spy to your iCloud account.

Such a product and its connection would offer the possibility of warning the user in the event of too great a distance between the tracker and the iPhone, for example. This accessory can be attached to valuable objects, such as car keys, a suitcase or other.

But if we draw a parallel with one of yesterday's announcements, we can even go further. So,MacBooks will have a new mode that locates them every time they pass near an Apple device, even that of a third party, not paired, this in order to broadcast their position.

What if this little tag had the same function? Apple would then have the solution tolocate valuable belongings left behind, even if they are recovered and moved(depending on the density of Apple products in the area).

It is possible that this new product from Apple will be unveiled in September, at the same time as the next iPhones. We will follow this carefully.
