Apple is about to release a new version of its iPhone operating system, iOS 17.2. The apple brand has slippedseveral new featuresin its lines of code and according to the latest beta versions, one of them concerns the arrival of new widgets.
Among the native Apple solutions likely to receive these new widgets, an application would have been the favorite of the thinking heads of Cupertino.Weather reportis a flagship solution on the iPhone (and on the iPadsince its arrival on the shelvesof the apple) but the widget associated with it could be improved.
This is obviously the observation made on the California side, Apple having modified the latter with iOS 17.2. A change that should give the user more freedom in the way information is displayed on the screen. Apple should in particular give the user the possibility offocus on specific data(precipitation, 7-day weather or hourly) to the detriment of other weather information available in the application.
Among the data that will be displayed by the iPhone in the weather widget, Apple should provide access to sunrise and sunset times as well as the ambient air quality at a specific moment.
iOS 17.2: what release date?
Apple has not yet officially announced the release date of its new update for iPhone, but it should arrive very quickly. The Cupertino company has just released the candidate version of iOS 17.2 if no major bug is discovered in the coming days, the update will be launched to the general public in the week of December 11.
In addition to modifying the widgets on the weather application, it should allow users to take control of a brand new application, presented during the last edition of WWDC,Journal. The latter allows you to write down your ideas and thoughts. According to numerous scientific studies, keeping such a “diary” would be very good for mental health.
